Reflections...

"A believer does not get bitten from the same pit twice."  Prophet Muhammad pbuh

"The Almighty does not have mercy upon the one who has no mercy upon people."
Prophet Muhammad pbuh

 "Seize five before five:

Your youth before old age.
Your wealth before poverty.
Your health before illness.
Your free time before occupation.
Your life before death."

Prophet Muhammad pbuh

React sensibly...

When people try to instigate us through their actions or words, by reacting typically we allow them to control us & to succeed in their dirty plans.

Some people study typical reactions of others, then do whatever it takes to get them into the corner they want to & cunningly but convincingly blame them.

To avoid being controlled by others, react sensibly rather than typically, no matter what is said or done.

Think very hard before saying or doing anything & remember, you do not have to react or respond to everything the way people want you to.

Be sincere...

For as long as you are sincere & would like to learn, no question is silly or stupid.

Choose the correct words, time, place & person and ask whatever you would like to know.

Also, don't laugh or scoff at those asking questions. They will learn whilst you might be left behind.

Facts of life...

I have just learned that some people have so much going on in their lives that due to their sadness they can't smile. Try anyway. It helps.

I don't understand why some people never have a friendly expression on their faces let alone a smile. You make the change please.

"If they are not pleased with the Almighty, don't expect them to be pleased with you. "

A sign of the hour is when the innocent are considered guilty & the guilty considered innocent. Be alert.

"Do not spoil what you HAVE by desiring what you don't HAVE, for what you HAVE is desired by many around the world who don't HAVE."

The Shariah is in place to protect the life, the brain, the wealth, the lineage & the faith for everyone. The five basics.

Make the time...

Overworking oneself is very destructive if it is made a habit & can cause significant mental, physical & social damage.

It can also destroy family ties, break up marriages, result in loss of children to drugs etc.

Of what use are those earnings when things around us are crumbling.

Take a break with the family for a weekend. Make the time for those closest to you & spend the money you have earned on them!

Things do not HAVE to be perfect!

Being a perfectionist & expecting others to be the same can sometimes result in the breakup of a marriage, the disintegration of a family & much more.

We must realize that every person has his or her own style, ways & habits. Not everybody will be able to do what we want as we want it & the way we do it.

As children grow we can help improve them if we are gentle & tactful when correcting them. Being critical of everything a child or family member does can create disastrous complexes within them.

Things do not HAVE to be perfect!

For as long as it is not a sin, the trial is sufficient & we must adjust too!

Wise words...

"Whenever you are alone, remind yourself that the Almighty has sent everybody away so that it's only you and Him."

"Always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them."

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, but it only saps today of all joy, so do your best, trust in the Almighty & don't worry, be happy.

The great test...

The test of the rich is how humble they remain as they gain wealth & how grateful they are to the Almighty who is the sole Owner of all wealth.

This gratitude is displayed by increasing acts of worship, obeying commands & abstaining from prohibitions.

The humility is gauged by the attitude towards fellow human beings, the manner of spending, the ability to fight off the urge to have a say in everything, dominate & control solely due to the amount of wealth we have.

This test ends either when we become poor once again or when we die leaving behind whatever we had amassed for our heirs to fight over in most cases.

Beware of the dangers of this great test!

Don't speak...

When you suffer, don’t speak.
Look inside and listen for the duaa He inspires in you.
And then ask Him. Again and again. Don’t stop.

Reflect and ponder...

Although the common belief is that the older one gets the wiser one becomes, nowadays it seems that a growing number of those ageing have never known wisdom nor understood it let alone become wise.

Wisdom requires one to selflessly think years ahead, be disciplined, learn from the mistakes & experiences of others, consider reactions of actions, effects & after effects, study the reality on the ground, prepare for future generations etc.

Wisdom is also supposed to come with experience but for some it seems no matter how many times they make mistakes they never learn.

Let us ponder & reflect upon our own condition.  May the Almighty grant us true wisdom.

Life...

Your life is nothing more than a love story. Between you and God. Nothing more. Every person, every experience, every gift, every loss, every pain is sent to your path for one reason and one reason only: to bring you back to Him.
